About GCP

Uniquely African.
Globally connected.

Goodson Capital Partners operates at the intersection of African markets and global capital — a firm built on the strength of its relationships and the depth of its financial expertise.

Our story

Capital allocation where it matters most.

Goodson Capital Partners (GCP) was established in Johannesburg with a singular mission: to bring institutional-grade investment advisory to African markets and to bridge the gap between African opportunity and global capital.

The firm operates at the intersection of corporate finance, capital markets, and real assets — advising on transactions that span seed-stage capital raises through to billion-dollar M&A mandates and JSE listings.

What distinguishes GCP is the strength of its relationships. With a regional office network across Sub-Saharan Africa and deep connections to C-suite decision-makers, institutional investors, and development finance institutions, GCP creates the conditions for capital to flow where vision leads.

Japheth Munywoki

Chief Executive Officer, MBA

Japheth Munywoki is the founder and managing principal of Goodson Capital Partners. With decades of experience at the intersection of African corporate finance and global capital markets, Japheth has built one of Sub-Saharan Africa's most respected independent advisory practices.

He has been featured on CNBC Africa, Pensions Africa, the Billionaire Chronicles, and has spoken at forums including the V Private Investment Forum Worldwide in Dubai and the Connected Banking Summit Southern Africa.
